Competency Dictionary

Competencies provide an organisation with a common language by which to describe the behaviours or actions required of people in the performance of their roles. The Competency Dictionary is the collection of these behaviours in a structure and format that can be used for:

  • Identifying training and development needs of individuals;
  • Providing feedback through the performance management process; and
  • Identifying individuals for promotion or succession planning.

The PageUp People Competency Dictionary holds all 21 primary competencies and 8 collective competencies.

Included in the structure:

  • Competency definitions
  • Four levels of key benchmark behaviours
  • 'Above benchmark' or 'Stretch' behaviours
  • Interview Question Guide for all competencies
