Established in 1997 by university students, Karen Downie and Simon Cariss, PageUp People was initially focused on developing customised database applications for corporate, SME and government clients.
Throughout 1997/98 PageUp People developed an extensive suite of web-based business communication tools; PageUp e-zine, PageUp sms, PageUp e-trans and PageUp editor. However, it was the commercialisation in 1999 of one of the first web-based recruitment management solutions that soon became the focus of the business. The solution, named PageUp People, significantly improved the efficiency and effectiveness of recruitment practices by dispensing with traditional paper based and highly task focused recruitment processes.
The PageUp People Recruitment Management solution was initially developed to streamline the recruitment process for PageUp People. However, after some research, it was discovered that the PageUp People Recruitment Management solution was at the forefront of an emerging e-recruitment market with few fellow innovators across the globe. PageUp People's success was fast, with the solution swiftly taken up by the recruitment teams of some of the largest Australian and global organisations.
2007 was a big year for PageUp People. We set up a joint venture with ClarkMorgan in China to deliver the PageUp People recruitment management solution to the fast-growing Chinese and Asian markets. PageUp People also opened an office in London, UK, to support growth in the northern hemisphere, specifically Europe and North America. Additionally, PageUp People acquired a leading talent management consultancy business, Talent Edge, which augments our talent management consulting services.
Today, the PageUp People Integrated Talent Management Solution, delivered via Software as a Service (SaaS) tools and best practice consulting solutions, assists organisations across recruitment and selection, performance management, training and development as well as retention and succession. The PageUp People product and services suite ensures that our clients have the right talent is in the right place at the right time to deliver on organisational strategy.
